DIY Pedalboard Junction Box - 2CM to 4CM Auto-Routing Interface

Hey DIYers,

Below are the parts, templates, and diagrams you will need in order to build yourself a Custom

Pedalboard Interface (AKA Junction Box or Patchbay) based around an amplifier with an FX Loop.

PARTS LIST (Amazon Affiliate links included)

1) Hammond 1590BBK Enclosure

2) Switchcraft 11

3) Neutrik NMJ6HC-S

4a) Hook Up Wire

4b) Mogami 2319 Guitar Cable (if used instead of above hook up wire)

5) Step Drill Bit

6) Drill Punch

INTERFACE FUNCTIONS:

A) Route pedals to your FX Loop and in front of your amplifer

B) Re-route the pedals in the FX Loop, in series, with all of the pedals running in front of the amp.

So what does this look like?

EXAMPLE A:

Basic Four Cable Method (4CM). The majority of effects pedals routed in front of the amplifer preamp,

while Delay and Reverb are routed to the amplifier FX Loop.

EXAMPLE B:

Re-Routes the Delay and Reverb (wired in the FX Loop), in series, in front of the amplifier along with all of the other pedals.

All connections on the left side of the interface (the pedalboard side) stay th same. On right side of the interface,

you will need to move the cable going to the front of the amplifier, to the Return jack, and disconnect the send jack.

DRILL TEMPLATE:

Print the drill template below. Be sure to print out at 100% scale. Cut along the lines and tape to the walls of your enclosure.
